Vintage Antique The Rochester Steam Sterilizer

This steamer is quite blackened with age but this is the information I have found on investigating it.
The steamer is 8x17.5x12” tall overall. Dates and text on front “Dec. 31. ’01 Jan. 5. ‘04/Wilmont Castle & Co./Rochester, N.Y.”  Sterilizer is all copper clad with galvanized interior. It is 8” tall with removable lid. It has a galvanized interior. One end has a small handle with copper finial attached to a 1” dia. movable vent.  Lid has T-shaped brass handle.  Overall random dents/creases in the copper (soft metal by nature). An even-aged patina overall. An interesting and complete early medical item.
I would assume you could clean and polish this back to it's original copper luster and you may find a few more hidden writings on it! This is a very nice and unique piece that dates over 100 years old!
