Antique Physician's Stool made by W.D. Allison Company made in Indianapolis IN. Style #1850. Serial #S7311.
The metal serial and style tag is firmly affixed which authenticates its true manufacturer, style number, and serial number.
Wood construction with metal hardware
Brown cushion Stool seat rotates up and down
Seat is approx 14" diameter
Floor to seat height is 18" to 25"
Legs are about 14.5” square
There is some wear in the screw mechanism but seat does not wobble. The wear is rust on screw (up and down) mechanism and holding plate. The rust does not impede the movement up and down at all. This type of wear is very common for this rare and antique physician’s chair made in the pre-1930’s. Please review all pictures as there is some wear on this rare item as stated above. The cushion seat has a slight indentation due to something sitting on it for a period of time. This indentation may go away as it sits without anything on it.
