    Description

These ornate heart shaped silver -tone clasps are joined with a white cord with hand painted ribbon tied in bows.  Etched on the clasps are "Magic Clasp" "Pat. Jan 30 1900". The clasps were used to hold a child's bib at a visit to the dentist. The ribbons tied in bows at each clasp have hand painted flowers. Measured end to end, the clasps and cord measure 7 1/4 inches. I know that the ribbons were often used on children's items in the 20's and early 30's, so the clasps may  newer that their patent date. The clips look new and the cord is in good condition, but the ribbons are shredded.
