Unusually shaped antique dental ebony handled Pied De Biche oral surgery tooth extractor. These were commonly called "goat's foot elevators" due to the tip's similar appearance to that of a goat's foot. Typical oxidation & a nice patina seen on the shaft for an instrument from this era. The shaft has an embossed marking of a Crown over the capital letter "S". Possibly French or English. The handle although 8 sided is more rectangular in shape with 3 distinct side widths as seen in picture #9. Length = 5 3/8". Picture #10 shows several other dental instruments for size comparison only & the other instruments are separately available for bidding on other eBay listings.
