    Description

Please email with any questions. Circa 1900 letterpress printer's block advertising Dalton's Liquid Dentrifrice. 6 3/4" by 2 1/4", this letterpress would have been created for Dalton to send to various newspapers and periodicals where they advertised. There is a portrait of a smiling woman with directions for using the dentifrice and the many benefits. Stamped into one end of the wooden block is the name C J Peters & Co of Boston- I assume they were the manufacturer of the printing block. It stands quite nicely and can be displayed upright or laying down. The copper plate shows some tarnish and verdigris.
