    1894 Antique Davis / SS White contrangle dental drill handpiece
    This Davis type handpiece was manufactured by Boston Dental Depot, Inc. founded by the firm of Hood & Reynolds. Apparently this was made for SS White, one of the early makers of dental equipment. The patent date on it is July 3, 1894. The sheath is also marked SS White. In the state archives of MA, the General Court listed the corporation of Boston Dental Depot as having been dissolved in 1909. This item is truly an antique. An original bur is still in the handpiece head.
